Germany, study trip

To kick-start the planning process for the Nordic training of co-building and co-housing project-pilots, delegates from all five cooperating organisations met in the south-west of Germany. Matthias Güttschow and Lucia Landenberger in Tübingen have a decade-long experience of training architects and municipalities in handling co-building projects. Andrej Schindler in Augsburg has been responsible for the very ambitious courses, arranged by Stiftung Trias in the past years, aiming at establishing an official new profession – “Wohnprojektberater”. On the schedule were two deep interviews and internal discussions to handle all the knowledge and start the planning process. A dinner with the mayor and short and rainy walk through two famous pioneering quarters, dominated by co-building projects, were squeezed in. It was a short but very intense trip to Germany!
